I still don’t know the difference between a TRS cable and a TSR cable. I think you were kind of mixing them up. Also I’m not yet sure what cable I should get depending on the make of my keyboard. Does a TRS cable send audio in one place and does a TSR cable send audio in 2 places?

Hi @Favour
Here’s the difference:
– TS cables are generally used for mono, unbalanced signals. These are most commonly used with electric guitars.
– TRS cables can be used for mono, balanced, and stereo signals.
If you get a TS cable, you’ll only hear audio from one side of the headphones, so you need a TRS cable to get stereo. I may have misspoken by saying TSR, there’s no such cable; the correct term is TRS, which stands for “Tip, Ring, and Sleeve” and refers to the parts of the jack plug that the different conductors are connected to.
Let me know if you have any other questions on this, I’m happy to help 🙂
