Hi Warren. For the question:
“ Write the root bass note for each chord in the progression “CEG BEG CEA DFA DGB EGC.” Note: some chords are inverted”
My answer was correct (CEADGC) but it was marked wrong. The only difference I see is mine were in caps and yours were in lower case. I’m not that worried about points, but thought you might want to know. Thx. This was my favorite lesson so far. 🙂
@Cras108er We just realize the answer was set to only recognize he spaced out version of as an answer (C E A D G C). The answer is now updated to also recognize (CEADGC).
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
This is what I see when I get to this question. There is no text box to input the answer.
Spell the chords used in 1 6 4 5 1 chord progression in F major scale. Make sure that you write chords from bottom to top, and pay attention to use correct chord inversions
{[FAC FAD FBbD EGC FAC][FAC, FAD, FBbD, EGC, FAC]
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This issue is now resolved, please check again.
Thanks,
Hello,
I copied and pasted my answer below for the question:
“Spell the chords used in 1 6 4 5 1 chord progression in F major scale. Make sure that you write chords from bottom to top, and pay attention to use correct chord inversions”
My answer:
FAC FAD FBbD GCE ACF
The system marked it wrong, but it is a smooth progression. Also, I noticed that when I retake a quiz and score a 100% that I am not given the points I missed even though the system has marked correct answers as incorrect.
Coming from “FBbD,” GCE resolving to ACF, not the best voicing leading. Smoothing voice leading, in this case, would be “FBbD” to “EGC” back “FAC.” We are currently reworking the point system, get an accurate view of your accumulated points see this page; https://pianolessonwithwarren.com/points/
As I see it Root bass notes I have it correct marked incorrect the g in my answer is blocked out by the bold line it is reading my ‘g’s as an a. __g. this my bold line and it is ok but yours blocks out my answers?_____
Unfortunately, I don’t quite understand this message, can you clarify? The system couldn’t possibly read a “G” for an “A” its either one of the two, but I can assure you, it doesn’t make those kinds of errors.
If you can clarify in more details the issue I can provide an explanation or solution.

Thank you for taking the time to write the details. There were some formatting issues in the way the answers were entered which is why some questions got flagged as incorrect even with the correct answer entered. I corrected the format now and scored 5 out of 5 when I took the quiz. Please try the quiz now.
Thanks,
Hi Warren!
I’ve taken Quiz 7 multiple times and each time I review the answers, my answers are the SAME yet it keeps marking them wrong. Please help!
Hi, Sorry about that. Can you pick a particular question and tell me how you’ve been answering it? This way I can tell why the quiz was marked as incorrect. I’m guessing it the way you input questions. Please let me know so I can better assist you.
Thanks,
