Efficiency on the piano comes from having proper technique. Most self-taught pianists only practice scales in hopes of developing strong technique; however, one of the often overlooked but necessary exercises to help with technique building is practicing of Block Chords and Broken Chords. After all, as a pianist, we spend most of our time playing chords, so we need to ensure we do everything necessary to hone this skill.

I see that in order to play by ear I must successfully learn how to master the technique of knowing how to play the broken and blocked chord properly and efficiently, this will take some time, but I am determine to learn. The lifting and arching of wrist and hands technique helps much. Thanks for your easy way of training Warren, God bless.
I love this course because it puts into perspective the importance of WHY we should practice the way we do. A huge time saver than binge watching a bunch of youtube vids which doesn't go into the information this guy is sharing. As a self-taught it is appreciated much.
I play block and broken chords but I didn't know how they were called, and I didn't have a good way to practice them. After taking this lesson, I understand what block and broken chords are, and I learned a good way to practice them. Thanks to my great teacher Warren!
