This course will present a breakdown of the song, “Never Would Have Made It,” a gorgeous gospel song by Marvin Sapp. This is the lead song from Sapp’s album, “Thirsty,” (2007) which was rated Gold after its release since it sold over 500,000 copies.
In this course, we’ll examine these proficiency levels: Later Beginner, Intermediate, and Intermediate/Advanced. The idea is to give you a thorough foundation for understanding the song’s chords and progression. Beginning with the Later Beginner, begin to open up the intermediate lesson song, exploring inversions and extensions on top of the basic chords. Finally, we will build an upper layer on the Intermediate/Advanced level and begin actually to tap your musical intuition, moving into true improvisation.
The very best way to proceed in this course is to master the material in the first three levels, one after the other, before attempting to move on to the “fun” and “cool” features of the top level. Doing this thoroughly will make it considerably easier to intuit what you can do when starting to improvise. Enjoy!

Warren does an awesome job teaching this beautiful song. In the beginner version, he clearly demonstrates the 7th chords, so they are not as intimidating for a beginner to learn. I appreciated being able to slow down the video as needed to be able to learn all these chords. Thank you, Warren!!
Completed the course with the help of warren . This lesson has starts with a later beginner and slowly layering up the things like the toppings of a burger 🙂 . this song breakdown helped me to play the 9ths , 13ths and chromatic slides , Runs , 2-5-1 Passing, 7-3-6 progressions. With warren breakdown of tutorials I'm now able to stretch my hands to play the beautiful chords. Once again thanks.
Different levels make it much easier to learn.
