How to Build Diatonic Extended Chords

This course introduces you to the world of diatonic extended chords, moving beyond basic triads to explore 7th, 9th, 11th, and 13th chords. Using the key of C as a foundation, you will learn how to build these chords step by step, understand the notes that make them up, and see how they function in both major and minor harmony.

Great course - but the notes for PDF files should be corrected

Interesting and important content refreshed (Old Warren YouTube Video like this, seen before) Here are some errors from the notes in the PDF file from the C Major page: Em11: "9th and 11th not diatonic" The 11th in an A. Fmaj9(#11): "(B is not Diatonic)" B is diatonic in Major C. Em13: "The 13th (C#)" The 11th (F#) is also not Diatonic. Am13: "All.." F# is not diatonic. Best regards Hans

Don't miss this course!

Excellent tutorial, presented clearly, methodically and patiently. I now see how important it is to have a fundamental understanding of diatonic extensions before venturing into altered chords. Thank you, Warren
